This year we are introducing a new resource called You Science. USBE has partnered with You Science to allow this as an option for all school districts in Utah. You Science has a number of functions that will benefit our students, for CTE, You Science houses all of our skills tests and certificates. This means that a student would have direct access to their certificates after they take their examinations at the end of each CTE course. A newer function is the interest tests and aptitude tests, this will be a way for teachers and other school staff to support students in exploring their abilities and tieing them with their interests to further career exploration. This has the power to help students earlier, before high school, to select the classes that will be engaging for them during high school. We are excited to get this underway for all students this year!
